About the job:
The AP / AR and Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing the company's payroll and for performing customer payments and collection of accounts.
This position is a mixture of responsibilities of both Accounting and HR to help the company meet its goals and growth.
Responsibilities:
Payroll:
Support and backup the payroll team.
The company is over 100 people and this position will assist the payroll function.
Must have Workforce Now ADP software experience to process the payroll functions.
Must be intermediate user of Excel for reporting.
AP/AR:
Process and post customer payments to appropriate accounts.
Prepare and send out invoices to customers.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
Perform credit analysis and make recommendations for credit limits.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer transactions.
All other duties as assigned by management Required:
HS diploma or equivalent.
(College degree is preferred, but not required).
Previous experience working in accounts receivable or a similar role Must have WorkForce Now ADP software experience to process the payroll functions.
Must be intermediate user of Excel for reporting.
Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
