Summary:
Under the supervision of the Child Care Director or the Lead Babysitter, the Child Watch Associate will be responsible for the care and supervision of children while family member/guardian(s) are participating in YMCA programs within the facility.
Essential Functions:
1.
Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.
2.
Oversee the safety and location of all children in the babysitting area at all times.
3.
Provide a caring, safe, nurturing environment that is welcome to children and their family.
4.
Actively participate with children in activities.
5.
Ensure the cleanliness of all toys, equipment and supplies in the babysitting area.
6.
Support and execute all procedures as directed.
7.
Greet parents/guardians and children upon arrival and departure in a positive, pro-active manner.
8.
Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures are being completed by parent/guardian.
9.
Communicate on an on-going basis with supervisor.
10.
Attend all mandatory meetings.
11.
All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum age of 16 years old Some experience working with children Ability to communicate with children and parents/guardians Ability to react quickly and efficiently Ability to provide positive supervision and direction to children CPR/First Aid PHYSICAL REQUIRIEMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 35 lbs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
