Desktop Support Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

Accountable for delivering the finest technology strategies and support for the organization. A results-proven team player who builds and fosters relationships across the company is required. In partnership with the VP of Technology, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company s services as a web-based business, including identification of services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.

Specifically, the IT Lead will:

  • Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs
  • Requires an understanding of IT security & Networking concepts.
  • Good Understanding of Active Directory been part of an implementation team.
  • Manage purchase, tagging, and tracking of IT inventory.
  • Worked on Desktop & Laptop imaging.
  • Managing remote software updates.
  • Collaborate with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs
  • Execute strategies for technology deployments across the organization. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure adoption by end users
  • Identify technology and software trends that may support or impede the success of the business
  • Ensure technology initiatives support operational processes
  • Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual
  • Change advocate and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas. Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces. Enforces standard company policies and procedures
  • Develop processes to ensure the continuous improvement of the operations of the business and ensure it is scalable for future growth
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 8 -10 years of experience in Business or Technology related field
  • Strong hardware and software implementation experience
  • Strong desire to bring best practices to the team, share knowledge and expertise and enable team members' mutual success as the organization continues to grow
  • Strong business acumen and technology savvy
  • Proven track record of being a high performer and results-oriented while working autonomously
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Demonstrates curiosity, challenges the status quo and provides input for process improvement
  • Personal confidence with leadership capabilities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
